(APP) How to ask a question

If you are not able to find your solution through answer search, you can always ask a question specific to your problem. This is a great way to receive personalized help from Experts and network with other members. Below are the steps for asking a question:
  • From within the app click on the 3 line button at the top left of the screen. This will open up the main navigation drawer.
  • Click on the "Ask" button in the drawer.
  • Enter a title. A good title will be short but will sufficiently convey the subject of your question. Titles may be truncated, so it's advantageous to use a short, specific title.
  • Click on "Select Topics". You must select at least one topic and may select up to three. A selected topic will appear at the top of the list. You may click on the remove (X) button to remove the topic.
  • Posting your question in a topic sends an alert to Experts in that topic, meaning the more topics you post to, the more Experts will see your question.
  • You can scroll through the list of topics to browse manually or you can click on the search filter and enter a topic name.
  • Any topics you are following on our website will be presented at the top of the topic list. This is a quick way to access frequently used areas. To find out more read this article titled "How do I manage My Topics". For now this feature is only accessible on our website.
  • Click on "Done Selecting Topics".
  • Enter your question for the experts.
  • Please be clear when describing the problem you are having and give as much specific information as you can.
  • It will be useful to the Experts to describe any steps you’ve already taken.
  • List what you have already tried.
  • Be specific.
  • At this time you cannot attach any files or code snippets from within the app, but we hope to change that in the future.
  • Once you have completed this form, click the “Submit” icon at the top right of the window. Please check over all the information before submitting and make sure it is correct. The submit icon looks like a paper airplane, per operating system conventions.
  • You will receive notifications and emails each time an Expert comments on your question. Please read and respond to each Expert comment as appropriate.
  • Easily reference this question from the aforementioned app navigation drawer. Open "My Workspace". Select “My Open Questions”. Click on the question title.
