Understanding the status of a job post

When looking at job posts on Careers, the status of the job is located in the upper left hand corner, beneath information about when the job was posted and by whom. A company representative can also view the status of their job posts by viewing the “My Job Posts” page (screenshots below).

 

Here is a list of each job status and a brief explanation of its meaning:

  • Open: The job is accepting new applications.
  • Expired: The job ran out of paid time .
  • Closed: The job poster closed the job before the time expired. The company is no longer accepting applications.
  • Deleted: The job was deleted by the job poster. It can no longer be viewed.
