What do the different project statuses mean?

Last Updated: Jan 27, 2016 09:13AM PST

The status of a project is located in the upper right hand corner of the project summary. Here is a brief explanation of what each status means:

Open: The project is accepting proposals from freelancers. These projects populate the list on www.experts-exchange.com/gigs. No work has been done, and no payment has been made.

In-Progress: A proposal has been accepted and the freelancer is cleared to begin working. Payment has been submitted to and is held by Experts Exchange but has not yet been paid to the freelancer.

Review: The freelancer has submitted the project for the client to review. The client can choose to approve or decline the work by clicking "Incomplete" or "Complete". If the client declines the work, the project returns to an "In-Progress" state.

Complete: Both parties have agreed that the work is done and the payment has been cleared to be release to the freelancer.

Status: Open

Status: Complete
